WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE FOR SENIORS ONLY!

It’s the end of May! Time to get serious about your senior pix! If you live in the Metro Detroit area and you’re looking for some great senior photography, take a look around! You’ll get some ideas, see some of my latest photo sessions, and we’ll talk about the stuff you need to do to make YOUR senior photo session lots of fun with you coming away with some GREAT pictures that are unique to you because YOUR session will be in your own home or on location. No chance you’re going to see someone else’s pix with the same studio background because there is no studio background for you!

Call me soon and book early! I spend two or three hours with every senior. At most, I can do two sessions a day, so there’s just not that many time slots open and they fill up fast!

GETTING READY FOR YOUR PHOTOS

GIRL’S CLOTHING SUGGESTIONS

WEAR: Long sleeved, earth-tone sweater or blouse; Crop top; Dark sweatshirt; Solid-colored dress; Sun dress; Dark jeans; Flowered dress if the pattern is small; Shorts; Swimsuit; Layered outfits; Leather jacket; Denim jacket; Winter coats; Hat; Jewelry (jewelry often makes the image!); Flannel shirt; Sports uniform. DO NOT WEAR: Big stripes or busy patterns. Unless your arms are tanned and very thin, don’t wear sleeveless spaghetti straps or cap sleeves. Don’t wear white jeans or tight skirts, or big contrasts like a light top and a dark skirt, or a white shirt under a sweater.

GUY’S CLOTHING SUGGESTIONS

WEAR: Solid, medium toned sweaters; Plain t-shirts; Long sleeved dark shirts Flannel or small print shirts; Muscle shirts or “beaters”; Jeans; Leather or denim jacket; Sport coats; Sports uniforms; Hats; A shirt, tie, and coat for your yearbook photo.

OTHER SUGGESTIONS

HAIR: Bring a comb or brush. Wear your hair as you do normally first, then we can try different ways, if you like. Clean hair is best. Don’t use hair spray, mousse, or gel; They make hair photograph stiff, oily, and dirty. If you need to get a hair cut, do it the week before your session so that it won’t have that “fresh cut” look.

GLASSES: to avoid glare and distortion you must remove the lenses from the frames or borrow blank frames from your optician. BRING SUNGLASSES!

TAN: A light tan is ok, but avoid getting deeply tanned before your photo session. A dark tan photographs blotchy. Avoid tan lines from dress straps; They are almost impossible to retouch.

HOBBIES OR ACTIVITIES: These are part of who you are! Show ‘em off!
